In the twenty years it has been alive; it has had more than ten million visitors from all over the world to see what the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center has to offer.
The center is located in a busy area on a charming nine acre spot down the east-bank of the popular Hillsborough River.
Largest in the Southeast
Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center is the biggest performing arts center found south of Kennedy center. The center has a total of 335,000 square foot space and it provides the world with many different choices of the finest events.It is home to one of the greatest and most well known Broadway series and it is appreciated by all for fabricating grand opera shows, as well as offering the world a number of different entertainment acts like events, concerts and performances.
During the 2005 - 2006 season, the center saw over 600,000 customers which attended the 3,742 on site events.
It has also been said that this center holds a title for having the finest theaters and venues in the world.
The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center is made up of the following:

- The Carol Morsani Hall which seats 2600 guests
- The Ferguson Hall which seats 1000 guests
- The Jaeb Theater which seats 300 guests
- The TECO Energy Foundation Theater which seats 250 guests
- The Shimberg Playhouse which seats 130 guests
Instructional Classes
Including the Patel Conservatory, the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center added another 45,000 square feet to its grounds in order to uphold its wide selection of education programs.From the year of 2005 until 2006, the center served over 70, 000 learners with just over 2000 on site education activities, which included many classes.
The conservatory is home to twenty studios, some of which are two dance studios featuring sprung floors, a lighting and sound lab, rehearsal hall, black box theater, costume shop, technical theater workshop, media arts and television studio and sound and isolation booth.
The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center is great for all these reasons, but the center also holds lots of additional features, these include;
- It
has a loading dock region that is able to house four big tractor
trailers at once.
- All of the
halls are
entirely easy to get to and easily accommodate individuals with
disabilities. There is also an infrared listening setup for people with
hearing impairments. This system is available in the Jaeb Theater,
Ferguson Hall and the Carol Morsani Hall.
- The
space there is to work with in the complex can easily house any major
musical, TV, theoretical, opera and dance production. There is also
enough space for meetings, award programs, conventions and pageants.
- Every hall at the center has backstage, lighting and audio equipment to assist in the perfection of every performance that takes place.
Discounted Tickets
The tickets to the shows of the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center range from very affordable to somewhat pricey. This of course, depends on the popularity of the show and the location of the seats.However, there are many ways in which you can obtain discounted tickets. A few ways are;
AAA Members - The members of AAA are allowed a 15% discount for four tickets to certain shows but will have to show their AAA cards upon arrival.
Educators Discount – school staff and teacher can get up to 60% discount on certain shows. School ID tag will have to be presented.
Military, Senior, Student Discounts – learners eighteen years or younger, adults 65 years and older, college students with ID cards and military members with valid ID cards can get up to half price discount to selected shows.
Group Discounts – bring along as many people as you can! Groups of 12 to 20 people will receive great discounts on certain performances.
