![]() It contains a variety of restaurants, retail shops, and entertainment places to keep you busy. The restaurants in the complex range from pizza shops to upscale steak houses. With a wide selection of cuisines, including Mexican, American, Spanish, Southern, and Thai all within feet of each other you should be able to find something for everyone. EntertainmentAfter filling your tummy you can find entertainment throughout the complex including a movie theatre with 10 screens and Tampa’s only 3D IMAX screen.
There is also an upscale bowling alley, Splitsville,
in the complex. It is a pretty nice place with an intimate setting with
a full service dinner lounge. The bowling alley almost feels like having lanes in your home because of how the place is set up. This is not your everyday bowling alley though, so expect to pay a little more than for normal bowling. Channelside Tampa caters toward families throughout the day. You can expect to find an over 30 crowd at night at the bars and clubs. In addition to the food and entertainment there are specialty retail shops and areas to just relax. I like to go sometimes and people watch in the courtyard lounge area where you may find live entertainment at times. Special Events
Channelside is a very popular spot for cruise goers since it is located
next door to Terminal 2 of the Cruise Port, from
which the Carnival ships depart. So don’t be alarmed if you see a huge floating hotel next to the complex during your visit. Channelside is also frequented during special events that occur down the street at the St. Pete Times Forum, such as Professional hockey, concerts or Arena football. With all of the dining and entertainment options in one spot you definitely want to check out Channelside while in Tampa. Click here for a list of all the restaurants, shops and stores in the plaza.
